These celebrities were once at the top of their game, starring in hit movies and TV shows, but all good things have to come to an end!

Steven Seagal was a martial artist and action star, famous for movies like Under Seige and Fire Down Below. But now, as he has gotten older and packed on some pounds, his action hero days have fallen behind him and though he still does some roles, his career is just not quite the same.

 

2) Macaulay Culkin

It’s pretty sad when the high point of your career happened when you were 10. Now over 30, Macaulay has pretty much completely fallen off the Hollywood radar. He tried to revive his career about ten years ago, but it didn’t really work.

3) Demi Moore

The last really successful movie Demi Moore starred in was over ten years ago! If it wasn’t for the fact that she married Ashton Kutcher, most of us would probably barely remember her name right now.

4) Nicolas Cage

At one time, Nicolas Cage was one of the highest grossing actors in Hollywood, raking in the dough with movies like National Treasure and Gone in 60 Seconds. But now he produces more flops than hits and has become something of a joke.

5) John Travolta

John Travolta had a good long run from the 1970s to the 90s when his career was smoking along. But ever since Pulp Fiction, things just haven’t been the same, no matter how hard he tries.

6) Renee Zellweger

Once upon a time, Renee Zellweger was the darling of the big screen, dazzling us in roles like Jerry Maguire and Bridget Jone’s Diary. Then her career began to fade and now she hasn’t acted in anything at all for the last four years!

Eddie Murphy’s career reached it’s high point in the 80s when he starred in one successful comedy after another. But the only thing he has starred in lately that hasn’t flopped has involved him playing a talking donkey!

Shannen Doherty was one lucky girl. She had starring roles in two very popular TV series: Beverly Hills 90210 and Charmed. But Charmed ended over ten years ago and she hasn’t really done anything since.

Jean-Claude had a good run in the 80s and 90s with a string of action movies that did really well. But then, like most action stars, as he started to get older, his career began to fizzle out.

It’s hard to believe Mel is the same guy who led an army in the hit movie Braveheart. Now all anyone pictures when they think of him is a racist wacko. Unfortunately for him, his career tanked about the same time his reputation did.

Believe it or not, this weasel used to be a successful comic actor! He had a pretty short lived run in the 90s with hit movies like Encino Man that had people imitating him all over. Now, the only surprising thing is that he is still getting bit roles here and there, but still nothing like the success he once had.

The high point of Helen Hunts career was clearly her stellar run on the hit series Mad About You. And though she did a few good movies after that such as Cast Away, more recently we haven’t really heard much about her.

13) Jerry Seinfeld

Jerry Seinfeld used to star in one of the most popular sitcoms ever to air on network TV. Now he is writing a web series. I think it’s safe to say he’s all washed up.

It’s pretty sad when you can go from being Rocky to acting in the Expendables series, movies which purposefully cast a bunch of old washed up action heroes.

Meg Ryan will be forever remembered as the woman who faked an orgasm in a restaurant in When Harry Met Sally. But that was way back in 1989. Though she had a few more hit movies just after that, recently her acting career has faded into obscurity.
